The Blues According To Texas Son
The Blues According To Texas Son is an excellent musical document from this outstanding blues guitarist based in upstate New York. A classic, timeless, dynamic, collection of 21 tracks recorded through the years (1988 - 2005) by this talented bluesy Telecaster guitar-slinger. Highly recommended to fans of Roy Buchanan, Johnny Winter, Eric Clapton, SRV, Trower, Albert Collins, Duke Robillard, Ronnie Earl, Albert and Freddie King, and to fans of serious pure heavy blues guitar magic. Tune into the Man and his music on the appropriately titled, The Blues According To Texas Son. Dave D'Angelico, aka Texas Son, is a righteous blues/rock guitarist who has been slingin' his trademark '68 Telecaster in various blues bars and juke joints in Upstate New York over the past several decades. Hands down, the best true blues guitar slinger from Upstate New York who sounds like he came straight out of the heart of Texas. (Electric/Heavy Blues), total running time, 77:05. New Live CD!

Recorded in the Fall of 2006 over several shows, Tex demonstrates great energy and his usual guitar mastery. No guitar picks were harmed in the recording of these shows, folks, because Tex has been bare-handing the blues for years. The sound is suprisingly full for using only one condenser mic.

Track listing and sound clips to be uploaded soon! Ordering info.

Barehand Blues Guitar
On his second disc, Texas Son delivers 11 tracks of outstanding top shelf blues guitar rifffage that stands up with the best of them. This time out, the Son digs deep on his Telecaster in a mature traditional blues guitar vibe to deliver a solid set of classic blues guitar tracks. Using only his fingers - hence the title - the Texas Son pulls out a collection of tasty blues licks that are reminiscent of ALBERT COLLINS, DUKE ROBILLARD, ALBERT KING and any other groovin' blues guitar master you can think of. "Bare Hand Blues" is HIGHLY recommended to fans of top shelf blues guitar playin' with feel and soul. By the way, Texas Son (as "Dave DiMarzio") also plays all bass parts, too! (2000 - 47 minutes)
